From scratchcomputing at gmail.com Sun Sep 7 01:50:31 2008 From: scratchcomputing at gmail.com (Eric Wilhelm) Date: Sat, 6 Sep 2008 18:50:31 -0700 Subject: [psoc-2008] wrapping-up, feedback, and next year Message-ID: <200809061850.31418.ewilhelm@cpan.org> Hi all, Thanks again to all of you students and mentors for a great summer. I take it that google's students group has instructions on uploading your code. I see that there is a slot on google-code for this. Please let me (or your mentor) know if you have questions or trouble there. http://code.google.com/p/google-summer-of-code-2008-perl/ I would also like to invite you all to please send any feedback about our summer/management/mentors/etc to this list or to me off list. We're always looking to improve and things will certainly be different next year with the creation of the parrot foundation and various other developments. (And "next year" isn't far away at this point.) I've posted a recap and a pile of links to your code/blogs/etc for future reference. Please let me know if you have anything you would like me to add there. http://use.perl.org/~Eric+Wilhelm/journal/37299 Finally, we would like to know what you think we can do to reach more students next year. If you have any thoughts on the matter, please drop me a note. Mark your calendars. Tell your friends. Best of luck starting your careers or finishing school, and we would love to have any of you as mentors in the future. Thanks, Eric -- "It works better if you plug it in!" --Sattinger's Law --------------------------------------------------- http://scratchcomputing.com ---------------------------------------------------
